Snowshoe walks in the South Tyrolean pastureland
Winter walks are a special pleasure in a winter holiday world offering innumerable huts and pastures. You can choose a walk with or without snowshoes. There is no end of possibilities: summit routes, gentle paths through forests and over sunny slopes or rewarding trips to huts. You decide how your winter walking will go.
From Meransen, around the Gitschberg, you can make your way up to the Zassler hut, the Plattspitze or the Moser hut. The Fane Alm hut is a special trip: from here you can reach the Brixner hut via snow-covered ravines.
If you would rather go with a qualified mountain or ski guide, we will gladly find one for you!
Your equipment
You do not need much to go snowshoe walking: good mountain boots, weatherproof clothes, supplies (a drink: hot tea is best) and sticks.
If you do not have snowshoes, they can be rented in the Gitschberg-Jochtal pasture region.
