Excursions for the fastidious
The Eisack valley is a special place for excursions. Sterzing, a town linked to the Fugger banking dynasty, and its side valleys, the apple-growing high plateau of Natz-Schabs, Brixen and its wonderful surroundings, Klausen and the Eisack valley Dolomites are all destinations worth a visit.
A special culinary experience
Whether it is the food in the Eisack valley, törggelen (autumn wine-tasting) or a visit to one of the many small wine producers, the Eisack valley has a special culinary charm. Just try it out! Particularly recommended are the local white wines.
Pure culture: along the Eisack
The Romans knew to appreciate the beauty of the Eisack valley. Today history and culture are waiting to be discovered throughout the entire valley. Just take a tour around, perhaps to the mining museum at Ridnaun, to Wolfsthurn Castle, to Reifenstein Castle, the fortress of Franzensfeste, the Neustift monastery, Rodenegg Castle, the Mühlbacher Klause ruin, the historical centre of Brixen or Velthurns Castle. Simply choose what is best!
Unlimited mountains & sport
Dolomite peaks or Alpine summits: the Eisack valley offers both. There are also fantastic climbing routes, walking tours, golf courses, skiing areas, an extensive cycle path network, etc, etc. Just ask us. We will be pleased to tell you what are the best sporting highlights of the Eisack valley! |
